MISSION

In my professional activity I had the opportunity to gain experience in the diagnosis and treatment of the major pathologies of ear, nose and throat, but I have been mainly committed to the treatment of voice disorders and of upper airway obstruction. I am grateful to my mentors who gave me the opportunity to continue learning and improving my skills throughout my whole career, but I am especially thankful to my patients who inspired my work with their trust, courage and fortitude.
The objectives of my clinical and research activity can be summarized in three main points: i) to develop advanced phonosurgical techniques with the aim to restore an audible and satisfactory voice to individuals with a voice disorder impacting on their social and professional relationships; ii) to perform a mini-invasive surgery thus preserving the crucial laryngeal functions in patients with vocal fold neoplastic lesions; iii) to relieve airway obstruction due to laryngeal stenosis or laryngeal paralysis in children and adults. Advanced mini-invasive techniques are utilized to achieve the best results, whilst minimizing post-operative discomfort.
